This is the perfect fan when you need a focused column of air (laminar flow) rather than the turbulent air moving in all directions created by a typical fan. The blades are adjustable with the round dial on the top if you like to make the flow even more concentrated.\nMost fans make the room look cheap, but this fan has a high-end look. Here is a photo of this fan helping to circulate the air from my gas fireplace.\nWhen the fan speed is set to around 25%, it's so quiet you can't even hear it. When it's ...

My Vornado NGT33DC arrived the other day, I was so excited (based on the reviews)\nCouldn't have been easier to assemble (simply place the legs on the stand, easy snap in for the four of them) & plugged it in, turned it on, & was very pleasantly surprised at how quiet it is, and as for the one person who commented about the led (on/off) button glowing, Oh-Pluheeze Louise! it's barely a ping on the visual scale to be of any concerned, if that usurps 1/100th of a cent a year in electricity your concerned a...

Took me awhile to review this as it has been unseasonably cold in the Midwest. Finally, I got to use the Vornado Fan. We own a couple of Vornado fans and you get what you pay for....yes, it's expensive but it comes with a 10 year old warranty. Even though it doesn't rotate, it didn't bother me at all....both my husband and I found the air to be very comfortable! There are a lot of cheap fans out there but if you want one that lasts, get a Vornado. Our other one finally died after 12 years!

I'm pretty happy with this fan for quietly cooling our bedroom. It looks strange, but it creates great air flow without taking up much space. Now that we are finally getting some warm weather, this fan has helped us stay comfortable until we finally cave in and bring the AC units down from the attic. I am planning to use the fan in the living room during the summer to help move cold air from the window AC into the kitchen, which is a difficult area for us to cool down during the hottest part of the year....

Absolute junk at this price point. Was hoping for much better. Flimsy lightweight plastic construction that just feels cheap. Since this is infinitely variable speeds I assumed I was looking at a rheostat type control knob on top, but no, it's a crappy feeling knob that adjusts the vanes by a couple of degrees in or out, not as much range of motion there as I expected either. Most egregious is the power cord uses a detached wall wart! So now, after avoiding the fan in a darkened room I have to worry abou...

I'm not a fan expert by any means, but this thing blows very well. We've had warmer summers in Alaska, and I wanted a fan I can put in a doorway and not have everyone trip over. This one works really well so far and can really blow some air!\nIt was easy to get set up. After removing the plastic, you only have to put together the stand. I held my breath as started this fan up because of the many reviews stating the variable speed would not adjust. I am happy to say mine worked fine, so we have that.\nI am totally in agreement with all of the previous reviewers that mention the following:\n- 99 speed settings is overkill - 5 or 10 level increments would have been more reasonable. I will say that changing speed on the unit or by using the remote is "press and hold" so you don't have to keep pressing the button to change the speed which is...

This tower fan can kick out a great deal of air without making too much noise. The electronic control allows 100 different speeds, from nearly nothing to approximately gale force wind. The touch controls are responsive. The remote works well to allow you to turn on the fan and adjust the speed without walking over to the fan. This has become a staple in our bedroom for sleeping. It's quite a powerful fan and while not silent on high settings is a soothing steady noise that's nice for sleep. The lower breeze settings are almost entirely silent but, understandably, to get a nice cooling breeze there's a bit of noise.\nThe main drawback for me of this fan (and it's a big one) is that the air tower doesn't rotate. This is the bigger, faster, and more expensive cousin of the NGT335. If you have extra dollars in your pocket, it is a worthy upgrade - all the benefits of the NGT335 and noticeable improvements. It seems much quieter for something with more oomph and is appears to have more variants in speed. But the NGT335 is the same size, does a great job with a smaller motor, and wins hands down when it comes to price point. The tall height (3.5 ft.!), high volume of moved air, and quiet noise level all contribute to this being my favorite fan. I set it to about 60% and any room I'm in my apartment cools down considerably thanks to the increased air flow. It's most appreciated in areas that I stand, like the kitchen, since it covers space a normally shaped fan just can't.\nThe only negative to this product is price; cause let's face it, $190 is a lot for a fan. The Vornado Smart Tower Circulator Fan looks good and does an amazing job at moving a large volume of air. How extremely disappointing of a product for this price point. Was hoping for a little higher end product, but still just a 'plastic fan' at heart.\nThe real reason for the 1 start rating is that upon unboxing and running the fan, there was an extremely loud noise / wobble coming from the fan; It was a deal breaker level of wobble and noise even at very low speeds (i.e. 5). I would not feel comfottable leaving this fan running unattended given what I was seeing and hearing. If this isn't a defective unit...

I have a bunch of different models of Vornado. They are the absolute best fan company out there. This does not rotate but you get a good air flow with a very small footprint. I put mine in the door in the morning when the air is cool and it's like air conditioning. I can just have the door cracked and the dogs can't get out. See my photo...

Great product. Not silent, but provides pleasant white noise. Fairly powerful. At max setting my wife still had her hair moving and she was over twenty feet away.\nFan does not oscillate, but instead provides a powerful airflow that keeps air moving all around the room (point it at a wall, not a door, so that it hits the wall and moves around the room. 99 different speeds is probably overkill, but the fact is you can make it go as fast or slow as you want for comfort. Remote control is very basic with on...

I have had the NGT33DC for a few days, but have had the NGT335 for almost a year. So far, the 33DC seems to be the better product. They both do a great job of moving air, easily across a room. I really like the ability (but not requirement) to narrow the width of the air current. This lets the fan cool me down without impacting the comfort of those near me. The 33DC is much quieter; not just the motor, but the housing. My 335 isn't as loud as a box fan, but it has some "rattles" to it (out of the box) wh...

This Smart Towner fan has good air flow. The stand is cheaply made and plastic, but seems to stay attached fine. Although you can narrow or widen the vent, this fan does not oscillate. Too bad, because oscillating would have made a big difference. Of course the fan is quieter on a low setting and noisier on a higher setting. It comes with a handy remote. It's too bad the remote doesn't have a way to be attached to the fan since it's a little tiny remote, which can be easily lost. This will help in our tr...

So first off, this fan was on sale for 70 bucks when I bought it and it is for sure worth that price. This is a very quiet fan, at level 50 (Mid level) all you hear is air moving, it has a simple design of what is basically a turbine in it to move the air. Overall i would recommend.
