Better than expected, have it pointed to the ceiling at an angle. It really keeps the air circulated. I have a variety of fans in my place, no central air, I've been leaving this run 24/7 at 20. keeps the air moving. There is a spot behind the main head unit, that I leave the remote.

The fan comes in several pieces, but is easy to put together. It took a moment to get the cord to go through the tube and I didn't get two "legs" on right at first. I could see they were not right so just took a little wiggling to get them to snap into place. I like that the fan takes up a smaller footprint than my old fan. It really moves the air around and is not too loud. It comes with a small remote. There is a power brick like a laptop on the cord.

Great machine, a little pricey. It really moves the air & fast, but then again so does a cheap $15 dollar fan...this one does it faster. You have to consider the 10 year warranty. I had a nice fan from Restoration Hardware that finally died. I realized, the next one I buy is going to have a warranty. The settings 1-99 are really great. I don't use the remote because I have kids, but it's a nice option to have.

I've owned many Vornado fans, small, medium, and large ones, and this is the best one I've owned. Using remote or manual controls, you can pinpoint the speed and use timer if you wish.\nAssembly took me about 15 minutes because I tried to put the 5 pedestal before totally unscrewing and removing the base nut from the base. I have some Vornado fans which I bought years ago and they still work fine. The standing fan in my small TV room finally fell apart so I decided to buy this when I saw it on a lightning deal. It was easy to set up and is much smaller than my old fan. I have it set to bounce air off the wall behind my chair and it keeps the air moving so that the room is comfortable even in the middle of the afternoon. I am very pleased with this fan. The remote, however, is so tiny that I am afraid of losing it.

Super powerful and small. Never had a fan that is wind speed adjustable. Does not oscillate, but can be manually adjusted up or down. The ten year warranty doesn't hurt either! Super easy to put together, no screws or tools needed...I did it myself :)\n Only negative is that the lights on the fan do not completely go off they only dim which is an issue if you like sleeping in a completely dark room otherwise I suppose it's a good night light and remote does not have a very long range.

Very pleased with this fan! Before finally deciding to order it, I was concerned that it might squeak or make other annoying noises, being that it's all plastic, but it does not at all. I've been a long-time buyer of Vornado fans going back to the early 1990's, but some of their latest three speeds are cheaply made and squeak, thus my concern. This one, however, is very well constructed. And the remote is a nice feature; I love being able to control the speed without having to get out of board.

This fan has so many features that distinguish it from all the other fans I've owned. I especially love the fan's quiet sound and its infinite speed settings, ranging from 1 to 99. The Vornado fan arrived on time and in perfect condition. Assembly was a snap. It is just what I was looking for. I especially like the 99 remote controlled speeds of this fan. Some reviews say the fan is pretty loud at high speed, but I don't see that. It's a little pricey but you get what you pay for. If you're looking for a well built fan that will last many years, I highly recommend this one. You won't be disappointed.

This fan is serious! It blows a lot of air, has a good pivot to it, so you can aim it directly at something or up in the air for more circulation. It has multiple settings, if you want less of a breeze. It's very quiet for the amount of air it moves. The pedestal is a good size and it's easy to place pretty much anywhere. Overall, you can tell why this fan is expensive, b/c it's quality is great, and it works well!

I also have the one without the stand. These are expensive fans, but the quiet and the quality justify the price in my opinion. I have this one aimed at my rowing machine, and it works splendidly during workouts (on 99 :-). Nice fan. I really like the ability to select speeds any number from 1-99. My last fan was low, medium, high, and often didn't fit the speed I needed so I would divert the flow or something like that. You get relatively quiet operation through about level 40, with decent airflow. Above that the fan is more noticeable but in my opinion quieter than my last fan at the same speeds. We have a couple of small vornado table-top fans and I really liked them so I decided to try the floor model. It's perfect!! Like all vornado fans (is there any other brand that worthwhile?!) they cool the whole room and are reliable and durable. This one is white is actually kind of attractive - for a fan. Like any fan, the higher the speed the louder the noise. I expect that - it's ok. Also, it has a tiny remote, which I love. You won't be disappointed.

This fan really works to circulate air throughout the whole room. I'm not sure how it does it, but I can feel air at all different places in my living room. This is going to be a huge help in the summer when it's impossibly hot, even with my poorly circulating air conditioner. This will help a lot.

This is a pricey fan, but wow is it worth it. Not only is it remarkably quiet, but it is powerful. At the highest speed it can practically blow my cat across the floor. I did have a moment of confusion while assembling the legs. The instructions said to unscrew a nut, which I spent way too long searching for, before realizing the whole base was the nut. Otherwise, this is the best fan I've ever owned.

This is an amazing air circulator. It's a bit different than a typical fan in that it really is designed to bounce the stream of air off walls and carem around a room.\nIt makes a noise, but it's not remarkable considering the airflow. It's hight is adjustable but doesn't really change the nature or uses of the fan. I'd trade that ability for a few bucks less in price,but I'm without much else to say negatively.

An excellent fan overall; compact and powerful. The construction on the unit is excellent, and is the easiest fan to clean that I have ever owned. That said, there is one single nit that kept the unit from earning a fifth star -- the 24V power supply warms up more than it should when the fan is run at maximum for hours on end -- 115F (while still safe, I would prefer if the power supply didn't heat to more than 20F above the ambient temperature when used around young kids).

I own 2 of these Vornado 6803DC units. I own 8 Vornado fans total. These fans in particular are very versatile. They can be moved up and down (similar to Vornado 683 Pedestal Whole Room Air Circulator, non DC model). I don't own a non DC 683, so I can't compare.
