I use mine 2-3 feet blowing right on me. It is a small size which which works well for me, but still is very strong which is what I I need/want.\nThe one thing that would make it perfect for me is if they have a rotating grill like the Bonaire BFF1222AR-BM, and a wavy grill like that.\nI would buy 3 more if that built a fan like that.

Works well, but it's smaller than I expected it to be. The remote control was a key reason I bought this fan, but it's range isn't very long - at about 10 feet the remote starts to become hit or miss. I love Vornado fans and have several. I wish this one was bigger and moved more air. I also wish they offered remote controls and full variable speeds in more models of their fans.

I was looking for an extremely quiet and effective fan that would help keep me cool but would not make too much noise since I work in customer support and use a headset. This product is great.

Also, like everyone else says - the remote range is kinda atrocious. I'd say it has an effective range of 6-7 feet. Aiming my remote at the fan, I wheeled back in my computer chair and at around 7-8 feet it was practically useless.

This is a well-made, high quality fan which should last for years. This little 99-speed wonder is versatile in ways that three-speed fans could never be. I especially appreciate the precision with which I can control the wind force, from the gentlest zephyr to the fairly strong breeze it generates when positioned at a modest distance of a few feet. This is a great little fan! I put it in my daughters room to replace a tower fan that was taking up to much space. We live in California so we need a fan almost all year. One of the reasons I love this is because you can have it on super low just to keep the air circulating. On the higher modes it keeps the room cool.
